Over the past two months, I have been doing some intense research on how to grow my following on Social Media. It took me six months to grow like wildfire on Facebook, but I knew that there were other potential customers I could be meeting on Instagram. If you find yourself not able to grow followers on IG, then don’t worry because this blogpost is going to help you grow overnight!
1. Make sure that your account has been switched to a business account.
Before even starting to grow your following, you need to have a business account. This is an option in your settings. Doing this will allow you to follow the analytics to know your actual growth of followers, along with the basics of comments, likes, and saves. One of the most important things is knowing how many people are coming to your page daily. You can finally know if your post is allowing you to bring traffic to your page that will ultimately have them click the link in your bio to connect with your business.
2. Change your bio information to help you become more discoverable.
I know it’s easy to just slap your favorite quotes in your bio or telling people everything you do. The truth is, they could not care less about that. They just want to know if you can actually help them. As a mindset and business coach, my bio reads like this:
“✨Mindset & Business Coaching✨I help millennial women transform their lives to manifest their dreams.? Ready for change??? Click here now!??shesworthy.co”
Within this bio, you can see the people I serve, while also sharing with them how they can get value from my program. I recommend you also show some of your best freebies with them as well in your Instagram Stories that can appear right under your bio information.
3. Follow the hashtags you use when posting.
When you post, be sure that you are using hashtags that can apply to what you do. Comment those hashtags in the first comment of the post to gain the most engagement. As a mindset and business coach, these are the hashtags I use:

Now that you know what hashtags to use and how to use them, you need to go follow those hashtags. Go to your search on IG, and click on tags. Type in each hashtag you use in your comments. Follow those hashtags along with any others that come up as related to it. People are going to flood to your page and follow you who align with those hashtags.
4. Seek like minded pages that you can connect with.
There’s no way you can grow a following if you don’t connect with people who inspire you! Take the time to find a few people who are in the same field as you and follow them. Send over a personal message telling them how great their page is and what you gained from something they posted. They’ll be so happy you thought of them, and you never know what those connections could lead to for the growth of your business.
5. Post meaningful content that people will appreciate and engage with.
You can do all of these hacks, but that does not mean your new followers will actually stay. You should be creating content to either inspire, educate, or entertain your followers. Be sure to always ask them what they think to engage and see how they respond. Give them incredible value no one else in the world provides and show them that you care.
