When jumping into a new game or even playing a game for a long time there’s bound to be things that you might miss. You might miss some information that could help you progress through the game easier or miss out on some cool gear. In Project Slayers, there’s a lot of mechanics and things you can do on the first map. You’ll want to do certain things though to make things easier for you in the future.

In this guide, we’ll show you what you need to do in Map 1 of the game. This guide will include tips and tricks that might be even new to experienced players. So, let’s see what you’ll want to do on the first map!

  • Get a Lantern
  • Get Total Concentration
  • Start Fishing
  • Finish The Final Selection
  • Get A Breathing Style/Demon Art
  • Get A Good Katana/Claws
  • Farm the Bandit Kaden Boss

Everything You Need To Do In Map 1

With the recent addition of the new map area in Project Slayers some people might jump into it without clearing the first one. You don’t really need to do everything on the first map but there are some things here that will make things easier when done.

This guide is more for new players, but some experienced players out there might also learn a few things! Here are all the things you need to do in Map 1. For reference for all the locations mentioned in the guide, you can check the map below.

Get a Lantern

This might sound like a joke, but you actually need a lantern in the game. There are areas in the game that are just plain dark and hard to navigate through, especially at nighttime. So, make sure to buy one for your character!

You can buy a Lantern by going to the NPC Kenzie in the Kabiwaru Village for around 600 wen. It’s a great investment since you don’t want to waste time stumbling in the dark!

Get Total Concentration

If you have a Slayer character you’ll want to get Total Concentration. To do that you’ll need to go to the Butterfly Mansion and breaking the gourds shown below. The thing is you’ll need to get 15050 wen to do that and that’s a lot of money to grind! Good thing the next one one the list will help you with money.

Start Fishing

Every good game has a fishing mini game and that’s why Project Slayer has it. You can go fishing by first buying a fishing rod. This can be bought through the Mark NPC in Ushumaru Village. When you go fishing you can get 3 different fishes, the Ouwfish (90 Wen), Ouwfash (180 Wen) and the Ouwfwash (300 Wen).

Catch some fish and sell that fish for some easy money!

Finish The Final Selection

This is for the Slayer characters out there since finishing the Final Selection will turn you into a full-fledged Demon Slayer. This can be tough for some people so it’s highly suggested to do this with a group of players. If you can’t then you can also just go on top of a rock and do ranged attacks.

Demons can also do the Final Selection as their own event and that can give them ore which is used to buy rare items.

Get A Breathing Style/Demon Art

If you’re a Demon Slayer, you’ll want to go get a Breathing Style and if you’re a Demon you’ll want to get a Demon Art. For the Demons the best ones at this point in the game is either Swamp, Dream or Ice. If you’re a Demon Slayer then go for either Wind or Water and later on get Mist, Flame or Beast.

Get A Good Katana/Claws

Of course, you don’t want to go out there and fight without a weapon. Most players though get only the Gold Katana and try to get to end game with it. I highly suggest for Slayers to get the Katanas from bosses instead since they have way better stats than any store-bought Katana.

For the Demons out there it’s the opposite because you can actually buy some good gear early on. Just grind for 250 demon claws and buy the claws in Ushumaru Village.

Farm the Bandit Kaden Boss

The last tip we have is to repeatedly farm the Bandit Kaden Boss. It’s one of the easier early game bosses in the game and he drops some interesting item. For the Demons out there, he’ll drop a Straw Hat that will give you Sun Immunity. Slayers can benefit from this Straw Hat too since it gives them +2 Block.

You can also get a Haori which is another great item to get early game. It’s even having a better drop chance than the Straw hat.

Also, as I said earlier, getting Katanas from bosses is better. Bandit Kaden can drop Tier 1 Chests which has a chance of dropping Lightning, Water, Wind or Insect Katanas. It can even drop Giyu’s Water Katana if you want that!

That’s everything you need to do in Map 1 of Project Slayers. There’s a lot of other cool things you can do in the game. Go and check out our guide on how to get the Soryu Fighting Style if you haven’t already!
